A disciplined artist with a career spanning over half a century, Drew McRitchie produced an impressive body of work across various media. His oeuvre includes painting, drawing, collage, sculpture, photomontage, photography, music, and text art.

Founded in 2022, the Drew McRitchie Catalogue Raisonné is an ongoing project committed to preserving the artistic legacy of Vancouver-based artist Drew McRitchie (1954-2021). This project seeks comprehensive information on all of McRitchie's artworks, documenting descriptive details, exhibitions, publications, and detailed ownership histories for each piece.

Throughout his career, Drew McRitchie achieved considerable success. His work has been exhibited in major galleries, including Nancy Poole Studio (now Loch Gallery) in Toronto, Gallery Moos in Toronto and Calgary, Harrington Galleries in Vancouver, Emily Carr House in Victoria, Winchester Gallery in Victoria, and Barakat Contemporary Gallery in LA. He received numerous awards, including a Canada Council Grant for the Arts, and much of his early work is held in prominent corporate and private collections.

The Drew McRitchie Estate is actively seeking to confirm records of known works that left McRitchie's Vancouver studio. We invite private collectors, corporate collectors, galleries, auction houses, museums, and other institutions to help expand our understanding of McRitchie's artistic contributions. If you own or have owned a work by Drew McRitchie, please submit your information to begin the submission process. To have it included in the Drew McRitchie Catalogue Raisonné, provide all known details about the work to the Drew McRitchie Estate for evaluation and consideration. The Drew McRitchie estate is seeking further details about the paintings attached to this posting which were exhibited at the Presentation House in North Vancouver 1976 (now known as the Polygon Gallery) in a 2 person show titled "Realisations" The Romantic & the Realist, Paintings by Dorothy Manning and Drew McRitchie.

Can you help us solve the provenance mystery of these works of art?

1. "The Opponents" 1975, oil on board, "44 x 48"
2. "Lightbrown Leg Horn , oil on board, 42"x 40"
3. "Portrait of Melissa , oil on board, 42" x 36.5"
4. "Nude Series B, oil on board
5. "Approaching Storm" 1980, oil on board "44 x 48" - Canadian Realism group show Gallery Moos, Calgary 1982 .
