Agreed. I’ve always stated that I’ve never been ”diagnosed” with AF. Because, well the medical community doesn’t recognize it. And I may very well not have AF anyway, but I know that something definitely went wrong and, from what I remember, it switched on over night. I often ponder how people are coming to the AF diagnosis. I think a lot have read the symptoms and after many years with little to no help from doctors, came to their own conclusions. Others have opted for tests like salivary testing. Interesting, but clearly made by someone who hasn’t had AF/GAS. There are a lot of videos of that sort on youtube. This is why I prefer information from Lam, Wilson, Dr Myhill etc, as they have all had AF/GAS and recovered with their own methods, and they are real doctors. I have yet to meet or talk to ANYONE who had late stage AF/GAS and recovered with a metabolic profiling/high carb diet. You say that the stuff that you are intolerant to are the evil....but then say that carbs are not the evil. That’s a contradiction since carbs would feed any potential parasites and candida that one with AF could have...so eating a high carb diet would actually keep the leaky gut and inflammation going. It’s important to starve the culprit and eliminate it out of your intestinal tract. Only then can the inflammation subside and stress on the body relieved. I can recommend several books and websites on AF. They are listed in my other posts. Please let me know if you want me to list them for you. As you may know, ”Adrenal Fatigue” by Dr. Wilson states that most ND’s don’t have much training in how to treat AF successfully. I agree with him. I can recommend my Dr. to you. Re: stimulatory or rebuilding? by mdaman

based from what i read and my experience, ”stimulatory” and ”re-build” can mean varied things for an AF sufferer. those two words can be good for you or bad for you depending upon your condition. those two words basically means the same, and they are bad for you if you are in the advance stage of AF. on the other hand, they are good for you if you are in the early stages.for example, you can not use strong adrenal supplements like glandulars, lots Vit. C, and other adrenal stimulants if your AF is bad. and then again, effects varies from person to person.just my opinion. 1,086 hits

Re: Chelation Threrapy for AF? Low Cortisol BLOOD levels... by SeattleTom

16 y
The blood test for AF is not accurate, and the saliva test is. The former isn’t sensitive enough to detect something as subtle as AF. Chelation (or any type of detoxification) puts a huge strain on the adrenals. I know, because after I started recovering from AF I took some supplements to help my liver detox better. They caused me to do a lot of detoxing, and this put a big strain on my adrenals for many years. A couple of years ago I took zinc to help chelate copper from my body, and this put a big strain on my adrenals as well.Tom 1,193 hits

Saliva Test for AF by SeattleTom

Hi woodsgirl - It was good to get your reply. For the saliva test, you have two options. 1. Find a ND who is good at treating AF. He/she can give you the saliva test, help you interpret its results, and recommend a supplement program for you. This is not always easy, as most NDs (including the first one I consulted) don’t receive good training in treating AF. James Wilson discusses this in his book ”Adrenal Fatigue”.
